The staging process is a crucial part of my creation. It has become synonymous with drawing and designing. By creating a layered composition of objects of various shapes, textures, sizes, and under different degrees of illumination, I set the structure and establish a spatial hierarchy among the "characters" in my visual narrative. Sometimes, I even draw and paint on some of the objects in the process.
Photography does not just serve me as a means to an to end. As I look through the lens to develop each staging and define its boundaries, the light acts as my pencil and the viewfinder turns into a piece of paper. Photography, therefore, has been both a part of the process and an autonomous medium of expression in my practice.
All the photographs are taken using my old but loyal Lumia 950 XL camera.
